Ways to make the Hump instantly better.....
1. All seats are open after the 10 minute mark in the first half. If you have a ticket, well too bad find an open seat. I am tired of seeing the bottom bowl with huge ass open spots at every single dang game. If you are old and don't want to go, stop buying tickets or buy them and give them to a young family you know except for the couple games you want to actually go to.. Kentucky/Olemiss and the such.
2. Let me occupy 3 courtside tickets a game. You know the ones. Folding chairs with padding. Everyone liked with Brandon Walker brought to the court, that would literally be me every single game. I will pay for them, and I will actually show up unlike whatever the hell you are doing with them now, Athletic Department. If it is a money thing, don't worry, I have the money.
3. Stop with the "Time for the Maroon and White Cheer" bs on the PA system. Let the cheerleaders do their jobs.
4. When we make a huge bucket, and the other team calls timeout, do not interrupt the BAND. Let them play the fight song. Two times at the Ole Miss game the director of the band was told to stop so we can have some bullshit announcement or some promotion thing on the court. Time to grow up MSU. Time to do that shit right before the teams come out of the tunnel or halftime. Let the atmosphere be the best it can be.
5. Hotdogs were disgusting and tiny. I want a HUMP Dog. Surely we can find something like the old Bryan Hump dogs. The ones Saturday reminded me of $0.25 night at the Dude. Also, the price of them have once again gone up to $4 each. I think food for 3 at the game was around $46. 16 of that were for beers, but even then. (I know you are adding on to the hump at the moment, and need funds. Well spending that money to fix up that dump should have been spent on building an entire new one instead. I have very serious doubts it is going to compare one bit to the new Pavillion after it is completed.) By the way, the Pavilion isn't even that nice.

Don't disagree with the post. I didn't know the band was told to stop. We can't stop the Hump eruption after a run and a TO. That is the best part of the game. That is even one of the best sports moments in college sports for the home team.
Agree on point 1 however, need some way to assure that a seat is not taken when a ticket holder just got up to go to bathroom or something. But I agree. There needs to be a time when the top row can move down. Just can't have empties in lower section.
I'll add one. We can't have students that want to go to game and there be open tickets and deny students getting in. Students that want to go must be allowed to get an available ticket.

I would also like to add a #6. Put the Hump Logo back on the court.

The old Time Flick intro into getting to the lineups is crucial. That was awesome.
We would like to welcome you to the Humphrey Coliseum on the campus of Mississippi State University.... For a little bit of basketball... Mississippi State Style!

You buy season tickets. Show the **** up

You must be one of those that have had tickets for a long time or using someone else's tickets. You can't buy them in the lower bowl. I go to the games but get so frustrated because all these companies have tickets they buy and no one uses their tickets or the people who have them just don't go.

What happens if you go to the bathroom at the 12-minute mark?

Make the privilege of buying season tickets compulsory to attendance. If your ticket isn't scanned for 75% of the games after one season you get a warning. Happens the next season you lose season tickets and go to the back of any waiting list...especially for lower bowl. That would light a fire under some asses for those that go to two games a year to find somebody to use their other tickets.

What about a easier way to sell or give away tickets? The AD uses stubhub (I think?), but there are additional fees and steps to go through). I sell my football tickets when I can't go to a game and it is a huge PITA. How about letting me return the tickets on my dogtag account (and get some type of credit, points or whatever) and the ticket office could offer them for resale?

Free tickets to every game until the Dogs score at least 70 in a game on 50% or better shooting.

That's why these plans are never implemented. It would cause a riot.

So you're confident those seats you're taking away- and the seat premium with it would be filled?? Take about 5 years and you'd have zero revenue. You can't make people use their tickets. Just can't. Ask, plead for them to sell or give them away. But can't force them.

Best one yet; do it. Seats are first come first serve like high school.

I think the easiest thing is when folks buy their season ticket have them either opt in to text, call, or email and they'll respond whether or not they're using their seats. If they don't answer by the time the doors open those tickets are put back on the market at will call. Will it piss people off the first few times, absolutely. But I bet it won't happen again. This wouldn't apply to courtside or the cushioned chairs on the first three rows. I think that would take away from pissing off your biggest boosters.

Just making some damn free throws would help the place immensely.

Love all of these points... especially #1. #1 should be a no brainer, maybe make it 5 minutes into the game.

So they get a refund off a season ticket then?? That's a money losing disaster.

Why would they get a refund. They wouldn't get a refund if they bought it and just didn't show up.

That won't work. At all. The people who aren't buying the season tickets and picking and choosing games and not paying a seat premium are getting the best deal.
