Given the lack of professionalism and maturity DJ showed in that Tweet, why would we trust him not to be giving and extremely slanted and inaccurate summary of what happened?

I don't necessarily believe or disbelieve that he said it. It's plausible. But DJ shouldn't have made it public. Just not a classy way to leave a job.
Also coaches stay stuff like that to players all the time. How can he have made it so long if he's thin skinned?
