Anyone remember the last time we played Illinois
It was a 28-21 win up there in 1980. I was in the third game but remember it well. I remember bits and pieces from the 1978 and 79 seasons, but I remember everything about 80. They had QB Dave Wilson( Saints fans will remember him), and they threw it around especially for 1980. He actually threw for 623 yards against Ohio State in a loss. Anyway, I vividly remember watching the Emory Bellard Show that Sunday night, and Coach being proud of our defense for holding Wilson to around 300 yards. Any stories from that game?

Didn't Collins at FB break a 90 yard run for a TD right up the middle against OM in a game at Jackson? Watching the Wishbone was a thing of beauty those years. Hail State!
