Marquette destroying #6 Baylor
Up by 30 with 2 and a half minutes left. They have scored 93 so far. We held them to 53.
We find a little more offense, and we are gonna be a tough out.

Amazing but Marquette has talent.

Yep. We have depth and we play so hard defensively. That will keep you in it most nights.
"We will have no problem in handling Kentucky."-Turfdawg67. MSU suffered a 27-17 defeat in 2022 with 225 yards in total offense.

Koleck or something like that/

Looks like we have a team. Basketball about to be fun again. Jans was a good hire.

Marquette is a really good team, I said in a previous post that is our best win. Its sad that our players can't get the Hump loud and rocking again no matter who's at fault due to the seating arrangements the Hump needs to be full and rocking for every game... these players and coaches deserve it

Marquette's defense is really good also. Where they seperate themselves to be able to make some real noise later is they can score, they have 4 guys averaging double figures and another guy at 9 ppg so they can score with multiple people.
That is what we are going to need going forward. We have one guy scoring in double figures, Tolu. Deshawn Davis and DJ are both at 9 ppg but regardless we have to get better offensively to be able to beat AU, Ark, UK, UT etc. That Marquette win is looking really good right now, but we are going to have to score more to consistently beat these type teams.

Refill the Hump starting Saturday. Team and staff deserve it. Hardnosed and fun to watch. Hail State!

Shoot 30 three's and make 10 of them we will win most games. No one has scored more than 55 on them. Don't have to make too many two point shots to win.

These guys are fun to watch. Remember watching Michael Gholar play basketball and football? Would love to see Cam Matthews at TE, if we used one.* Hail State! Be at the Hump Saturday!
-
Saw Jans was first SEC coach in shot clock era to hold first 7 opponents under 60 points.

We never filled the Hump up before Christmas even in 96. It will get better if we keep winning.

And because of the dumbass seating setup. The bottom is technically sold out. Nobody sits in the seats.

They should allow people to move down to the empty seats 20 to 30 min after tip off. Heck if the people show up late just move back to your original seats. It's sad the way the Hump looks half empty on the camera side of the t.v. plus the Hump would sound louder

Side note, other than our loss Marquettes other loss was to Purdue, Marquette lead about 75% of that Purdue game and lost towards the end by 5.. Purdue is currently undefeated ranked 5th in the nation and their only scare was Marquette. Purdue has destroyed West Virginia, #6 Gonzaga, #8 Duke, Florida State.
I'm not trying to correlate what Purdue or Marquette is doing to us, but we can only compare common opponents to gauge how good we really are and that tells me how big that Marquette win was.

I disagree, I want to see Cam Mathews as an Outside Receiver and then motion him in to TE on half of the downs to either run block or fake the run block and run an out and up depending. Dude can literally jump out of the gym.
