Back in the top 25
Ranked #25 in both AP and Coaches polls. Feels good to be back.

That will help with a bowl also. They love to promote ranked matchups.
-
Nice. Let's win the bowl and finish 20ish. Should be preseason top 25 if we do
-
It also confirms (basically) that we'll finish in the top 25 if we win our bowl game, regardless of opponent. So now I'm hoping for Purdue or Illinois or someone else we're clearly favored over.
-
Those polls don't matter at all anymore, it's all about the playoff rankings Tuesday night. I have a feeling we'll be higher than 25 when it comes out.
"We will have no problem in handling Kentucky."-Turfdawg67. MSU suffered a 27-17 defeat in 2022 with 225 yards in total offense.

I don't wanna play Illinois if bielema still runs all that misdirection throw to the TEs

CFB poll doesn't have a final poll though, so you wanna be in AP and coaches

Yeah, the CFP Committee should meet again in January to do a final ranking. That would be perfect and would let us trash the AP/Coaches entirely.

If we play Notre Dame I think our team will be fired up for the game.

Is Notre Dame the likely opponent? I’m assuming we are projected to the Gator bowl to play them? LSU losing and Clemson losing probably dropped us down to Gator

Isn't it now up to the SEC to decide where to go?

CBS predicts Notre Dame in Gator

Probably gonna match ND with LSU because of the coaching connection. Just a guess.

They get together with the bowls and schools to determine the best "fit". With us ranked it's going to be hard to justify not sending us to the ReliaQuest or Gator,as long as we want one of those, and instead sending a 6-6 team.

That's ESPN Football Power Index (FPI) college football rankings. The computer just thinks they are 0.7 points better than us in this ranking... What does their computer know. Chill and don't let this bother you.

LSU is headed to citrus now
We should?ve got citrus
Then South Carolina stole it from us
Then LSU lost to A&M and stole it from South Carolina
the sec is gonna choose where to send
South Carolina
State
OM
Florida
Arkansas
Mizzou
Kentucky
Us , South Carolina and OM are all 8-4 so we should be above the others in the pecking order
And they know our fan base is excited and will turn out for a bowl game unlike 6-6 teams
We should be only behind South Carolina in the pecking order to be honest.

this is really the only time of the year that the polls really mean anything, up till now they are just fluff.
