Still worried about post depth and outside shooting.

Yes to both.

We gotta chance to be much better than anticipated

Martavious Russell, Kimani Hamilton, and Shawn Jones all played bigger roles and minutes today. I really like this team. Tolu did not have his normal, dominant game, and they still won convincingly against a team that really took some good teams to the wire.

Didn't realize Russell was so explosive

Just got back with son and friend. Of course, it's early but this team plays hard, can play a zone, can press, and play D. Tulu turned his ankle a little early in game, may have limited minutes a little, but McNair looked much better in all aspects of game. Hamilton and Russell looked good. At 6'2", Russell's last dunk was electric. Jeffries's jump shot is much improved. No selfish plays so far. Played everyone and shared the ball. Get to the Hump and support Jans and this team! Next game is Thursday at 8:00. Hail State!

The Bench outscored the starters 47 to 33 if the box score is correct.

I liked the post.

We need the crowds to get better for both Men's and women's teams. Crowd support means alot for the players and coaches

Already making plans for Thursday.

I'm fired up about the men.
They play in a style our fans should really get behind. Perfect team for our fans.
I hope everyone gets behind them.

Martavious Russell has a chance to be really good for us and not just because of the dunk he had.. Russell played good defense, hit a few shots and looked really comfortable out there. Kimani Hamilton looks like he will eventually help us out too. It's good Jans is getting these young guys in now because you never k own when you will need them.

Hopefully if Jans can put together a tournament team it will get our fans more involved in basketball go up the NIL money. In order to succeed now in basketball we have to be committed. Unfortunately, we have had a string of bad or average floor coaches that has led to fan apathy. As much as I like Jans, I hope our NIL will allow him to get players to compete in the SEC

If they continue to play hard and aggressive people will drive up from Jackson and the coast to see that.

If every game wasn't on TV I would 100% be making the hour and half drive Thursday even with it being an 8pm tip on a work night. I'll still probably go, but you do have to cut the non-locals some slack for not attending a game against South Dakota during the work week in today's environment.
"We will have no problem in handling Kentucky."-Turfdawg67. MSU suffered a 27-17 defeat in 2022 with 225 yards in total offense.

I didn’t go to a Howland game the last two years. I’m already excited to see this team.
-
Let's just not bail on this team once we hit a little skid. Keep in mind we were 4-0 with an avg win by 24 last season before our early season tourney. Certainly not saying we gonna fall off, but again, we looked really good early last year too
