Yes, he and his family are in my prayers!

Would help if everyone on here knew his name. Thanks in advance

My guess is that we are talking about Johnnie Cooks #99 a monster at MLB, who was drafted #2 overall in 1982.
-
Maybe my all time favorite player at MSU. I could see when he was a freshman that he was just on a different level. Really hate to hear this about his health.
And yes, it's Johhny Cooks
There's someone in my head but its not me.

Oh man. Really hate to hear that; he’s my age. Much too young. Prayers for Johnie and his family.

Praying Johnnie recovers. One of the best ever at LB in any era.

He was the best LB in the SEC during his time. Very fast and a hard hitter.

No doubt about it. He was the most dominate player we've ever had on defense. Seems like he was in on every tackle. Big, fast, hard hitter. There weren't very linebackers at that time with his combo of size and speed. Legendary.

"We will have no problem in handling Kentucky."-Turfdawg67. MSU suffered a 27-17 defeat in 2022 with 225 yards in total offense.

Still would like to know what he said to the Miami long snapper that made him freak on the goal line......What a stud.....what “DOG” defense is supposed to be .....
