Agreed that the CFP is the most important, but the AP Poll does matter in the sense that it helps determine TV matchups, how much coverage teams get on recap shows and various online articles, etc.
Maybe that's why I don't care. I haven't watched sports center/high light shows/pregame shows in at least 5 years. Twitter, websites, and message boards are much better for scores and info

Yes, which is why most everybody in the college world of sports is talking about them and waits for them to be published.

The CFP Committee should meet after the season and do a new set of final rankings. Instead, all we get is the inferior AP and Coaches polls in January.

Yeah, I like that. Once the the committee poll is released though, AP and coaches conform to it closer and closer down the stretch
