What is up with the mouth guards?

Basically almost all of our skill players refuse to put in their mouth piece. It looks stupid.

Not trying to be critical, and who gives a shit what you look like when you are making catches. But when you lose or don't make the catch, it looks dumb.

It also help prevent concussions from the impact from the lower jaw up to the skull. It would be really easy for the refs or coaches to enforce the rule. IDK why they don't.

It makes it easier to breathe or gulp air when sprinting... I'll bet you won't catch a lineman not doing it
OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
The university said students were reportedly throwing rocks at Georgia baseball players during last weekend's series.

A lack of attention to detail? Seen that a lot over the last 5 seasons of bulldog football. Starts at the top.

It used to be a penalty to not have your mouthpiece in. Has rule changed or not being enforced?

Same with knee pads, they don't even wear them anymore. Hell I once picked up a penalty at Meridian 15 years ago when I was an offensive lineman there for not wearing a butt pad.

Having a mouth guard flopping around your facemask when running a route seems like a very unnecessary distraction.

I think the actual rule now is that you don't have to have on, but if you do it has to be in.

Exactly. RaRa dropped a sure TD on a deep post with his mouth guard bouncing across his face mask every other step. That has to be distracting. If you don?t want to wear one, then just don?t have it dangling off your face mask.

If it were me, I would be wearing one.
