It'll take at least 3-5 years for whoever follows Leach to straighten out the mess, and likely longer. Cohen torpedoed football just to prove he was smarter than every SEC AD in the last 25 who never hired Leach.
The transfer portal is a savior of a program.

Just curious, how many times in any of y'all's lifetimes have you watched state win at night in Death Valley? Regardless of how good or bad state was? I remember Sherrill dropping a big one there in his prime at state.

I remember Mullen having a bit of success there but not much.

We've lost to some bad LSU teams there in the past and gone on to have a decent year.

I don't know how the rest of the season will shake up but I do know we haven't had just a whole lot of luck in BR during my lifetime.

We've beat them 4 times since 99 home or away.

    6 times since 1990

3 times on the road. Twice at night.

And two of those wins were with John Bond as QB.

This may be the worst of it all. It will be a complete multiyear rebuild after what Leach does or has already done. We have some D talent but most of it will be gone when he is gone.

We returned more starters than any team in the SEC. Does it say more about our coaching or recruiting? Both start with Mike Leach. We've not looked good a single game this year. We've had spurts where we played well. But just as many spurts of poor play. Three years and no consistency in our performances other than what we've seen every year.
If this thing doesn't get on track, and we lose to Ole Miss again, Leach won't have anyone left for support. Cohen will take a hit too with the fans but our stupid money guys don't have the balls or sense to get rid of him.
