Dead injuns saw we had too much momentum.

Southern most storm that's a threat to the stadium is 45 miles south of town moving north at 15mph so you can do the math. That's assuming the storm doesn't weaken or change course.

Looks like a train of storms heading that way too.
Storms are mostly west of the stadium, but some have formed over Louisvuuuuul and appear to be coming up Hwy 25.

So of this does turn into 3 hours of lighting delay, what happens? Do they resume in the early AM, start again tomorrow, or cancel the game?
-
Well I guess this will prepare me for next week for our 11pm game to stay up

Don't know if there's a hard limit or not. A&M was delayed for a long time today but they finally finished the game. But it was a daytime start.

This is the storm that'll have to clear before they play again.
-
Vegas, what are you using in that screenshot? It's much better than the weather app I have or sites I find with Google. Thanks in advance

What’s the odds this one dies down as the sun has set and there is not as much heat to draw from?

RadarScope. It's a one time $9.99 charge for the base app. I have tier 2 that is $9.99/yr. I can't recommend it highly enough.

Try to get it in tonight.
If it comes to this (and hopefully it won't), we both have 10/29 as an open date.

Southern most storm in question looks to be weakening last few scans.
-
Restart anytime soon doesn't look promising. The storm that was over Louisvuuuul has gotten larger and is approaching Starkville now.
-
Has anyone ever been struck by lightning at a football game since the game started in the 1800s?

I'd rather delay until Oct 29 rather than risk a repeat of Troy State.

I think they used to play though just about anything. The first time I remember a lightning delay was a Va Tech game 10 or 15 years ago. We delayed a game with Troy State one time in the early 2000s but that was because of a tornado warning. But delaying for lightning is probably the wise choice.

Probably smart. Maybe its just my bias that the whole country seems to have gone soft. They freak out over 'safety' issues that are an extreme rarity while mainlining fast food and sugar.

What's a realistic time to restart?
