Perusing CWS ticket prices has generated a few Q's

I remember last year how my 3-person group in Omaha was "scrounging" for CWS tickets on a game-to-game basis and ultimately financing the college education of another person's children once said multi-hundred dollar ticket purchase was completed (I believe we averaged $300-$325 per game as we saw 5 games).

The same inflated ticket prices are occurring now for our Rebel friends and foes. So that said:

(1) is it bots that are purchasing the initial allotment of tickets and subsequently re-selling at inflated prices (faster than the average human can manipulate Ticketmaster and purchase)?

(2) If so, how does one combat these bots so as to initially purchase tickets when prices are more-reasonable?

We went to games 2 and 3 of the CWS finals last year. Had no problems getting tickets at reasonable prices. For game two we sat in the outfield and had a blast, game three we sat in the 3rd base grandstands, crowd was much more subdued (just like the Dude). Key is the be online when the tickets go on sale (usually at midnight). The park is so small there are no bad seats. Don't be afraid of outfield seats.

Buy the cheaper outfield seats ASAP, once you have secure seats for everyone, then start looking for better seats, the closer to game time, the more the prices go down.

A quick check of available tix inside the stadium 40 minutes to game time show about 30 seats ranging from $500-1250 per seat. Definitely a scalpers selling paradise.
