Charles Cross Getting Big $$$
That's nice pocket change
"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""

that's great ... and doing it without an agent so he keeps all of it
OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
The university said students were reportedly throwing rocks at Georgia baseball players during last weekend's series.

Exactly! Good for him.

Wow, to go without an agent, play hardball, and ultimately win the standoff and get paid big means he must have done his research and be pretty smart. Good on him
-
damn good job on him. very risky but paid off big time in believing in himself.
-
This is freaking awesome. I wonder if he got paid more Because the ownership was glad they didn't have to deal with a knucklehead blood-sucking agent.

Cross majored in Business Administration - sounds like he learned a thing or two.

His talent is obvious, but you always heard the coaches talk about his work ethic, demeanor, and steadiness. Not a huge surprise to see him do well off the field.

5 Star Players
Come to state. Dominate as you would do anywhere you decide to go.
Get drafted in the top 10 by a quality club.
Get an education that prepares you for doing your own negotiations, save yourself 25% of your rookie contract, worth about 8.5 million dollars.
Don't go to a top tier college that gets you to the top 8 and make yourself lose 8.5 million because they don't care how much you actually learn in college.

THat's really impressive and different in this day and age were far too many student athletes are students in name only and do nothing with their education opportunity. Not only a real physical specimen but also a very sharp Business man as well.

Bingo

He also has business, financial, marketing managers so it wasn't like he was going at it alone, several recent state guys are doing the same and it's a smart move

Incorrect.
NFL agents get only 3-4% of a player?s contract.

So you lose 1.2 million. Seems to me, learning how to represent yourself at State is still better than receiving less than that through NIL at aTm as an OL.
