The crystal ball is pretty much all LSU for Isaac Smith. Yet, he has been to MSU triple the amount he has been anywhere else. It feels like if he does go to LSU, it may be for NIL. It wouldn’t surprise me if he becomes next year’s Khamauri Rogers. We shall see!

    Like the Caleb Bryant commit.

What is the story on him?

I had several people tell me that he was on the clock and not the other way around.

My concern based on the size/speed ratio on him is that he looks a little small to play DT and I'm not sure he is fast enough for DE. Anyone know what we plan to do with him?

I wouldn't worry about the crystal ball stuff, I like our chances.

He is a difference maker at safety.

He?s plenty fast enough. He?s got a FAST first step. Used hands well to shed blocks. Deceptively faster than most think. And the thing I really like about him - he?s not got ?bad? weight like a lot of DTs have. He will put a solid 25 lbs on in his first couple years.

    So DT not DE?

I don't think so, but I think they get him.

He should still be able to play DE in the 3-3-5 at 275-280.

    What?s the story there?
    - No more Leach?
    - worried Miller is going to be gone?
    - big instate push (my guess) to go to Tenn?

I think he's just hesitant with the coaching change.

Hopefully Miller isn't going anywhere because he's killing it.

If we were only allowed one coach on the offensive side to keep, it would be Miller all the way for me. He has really impressed me the past couple seasons now.

Yep, he hangs out with our guys but he's likely headed to BR from what I'm hearing. I'd say 75-25 at this point at best for us.

Hes got a chance to start his Freshman year at MSU. At LSU he would be just another signee.

I hope so but he's made no bones that NIL is important and that bothers me.....He and his parents loved Leach and they like CZA too.....

What is the story on Gabe Cavazos ? Did he seem destined to get playing time here or not ?
