The problem we've got in recruiting (offensively) is we rotate so much at WR and never throw deep, plus give our RBs way too many touches on the receiving end, and not enough in the running game. So, we struggle to attract top WRs and RBs. We also don't put skill guys in the league much and neither has Mike Leach. Things got to change a little if we want to boost recruiting.

Commit list on page 1 of this thread has been updated with a breakdown by position and links to their profiles.
OL recruiting has been pretty good this year.

Why is RB Jeffery Pittman from Hinds CC still not ranked? Watched his highlight film and he looked really good. Also noticed several other CC players we are pursuing are not ranked, common issue, timing, behind in evaluations? Hail state!

They don’t do it anymore. In some cases they will go back after a class is finalized to look at a guy and come up with a rating, but only under recommendation. An 84 or 85 is not a real rating, it's a stamp. Their objective is to cover the top 10-15 percent of prospects, which is where they make their money. There's probably 400-500 kids that don't get any real analysis every year.

With the transfer portal juco recruiting has become non existent on a P5 level. I think its an area we should be able to take advantage of because people aren't really recruiting them any more.

WR commit Bellazar is ranked 10th in the nation, 2nd at his position, and 5th in the state for a pitiful .8619 and others in the top 50 CC not even ranked. Rankings are to get clinks from Big boys with the most fans.

High School athletes are typically ranked separate from JC players. Here is ESPN's top 50+ JC list. Look up "ESPN 2023 Junior College"

Khamauri Rogers in the portal.
Have to think we will be solidly in the game with him.

Yep. Coming home where he should have been in the first place.

Would be a HUGE get. I?m gonna say it loudly - we need to set up a strong pipeline into Holmes Central High.

Pretty sure he is ours if we want him.

If/when we get Khamauri, that'll be 3 players from there.
Rogers, Ellington, Joseph Head

Looks like Parsons for some reason has been trending downward on the rankings and Creed has been shooting up. Creed is now per 247 ranked #134 nationally. I'm excited for both to play here.

There are some monsters coming up the next couple years, too.

Any word on Kelley Jones - he is set to visit the bears this weekend - he showed out at the AL/MS game/practices this past weekend.
Any word on WR transfers? That is the biggest need right now in my opinion.
