2023 MSU FOOTBALL RECRUITING Discussion Thread

All I know about 2023 recruiting is what I get here and free info from Genes Page. I know it is early on rankings but almost none of our "targets" are 4 stars. That being said is it a down year in Mississippi or is NIL killing us with higher targets? Thanks and Hail State!

My guess, any four star or higher will hold out till the very last day for the highest bidder.....thanks to NIL. I expect many of the “verbals” to flip also for the right price

Basically. They need to just create a professional minor league and be done with it. They aren’t student athletes any longer. College athletics needs to go back to a true amateur league that doesn’t give scholarships and requires the student to already be actively enrolled in school.

I’d support that. They are ruining the last watchable sport.

4 star players have been getting paid and doing this for the last 30 + years. When boosters were formed so were paid players. Fault boosters instead of teenagers if you have problems with players being paid.
