    Skinner in Portal

Brayland Skinner now in the portal. Can we get a sticky to keep up with them all? I?m still interested in who we are getting. Apparently a couple pretty big fish are in the boat.

Also starting to hear the McCants rumors are getting hot. Hot enough Ole Miss is starting to put the press on keeping him?

Brayland is my favorite dawg, but i understand him leaving. He was an asset for us, always of good cheer and made some big plays. Best of luck.

I'll make a new thread tracking the 2023 Team in the next few days... Sad having to do it so early.

Good for both sides. Brayland seems like a great dude and I hope he kills it wherever he goes....but we need an upgrade in talent, and unless he wants to be an all time pinch runner, he needs to move on as do we.

Brayland was one of those "great teammate" types. Always smiling always giving 100% and that's hard if you're not playing all the time. He'll go down in Dawg history with that stolen base and game winning run. He should never have to pay for a meal in Starkville. I wish him great success !

This makes me sad but I understand it. I bet he goes to Memphis to be closer to his home.

Yep. Hope he can succeed with a change of scenery like Hatch did this year.

He needs to go to Delta State and help them win another conference title. He would do well there

Other than the homerun against LSU and getting into place to score the game winning run against Texas, I haven't seen him do too much else for us. Wish him the best of luck...

I really like him. Seems like a great dude, but that steal against Texas was extremely lucky!! That's the worst slide I've ever seen. I just knew he was gonna be out. Thank God he was safe!

He jumped over the catcher from Kentucky last year. He can run and play defense at a SEC level

It was kind of puzzling why he didn?t change his approach in the off-season to prioritize getting on base. Instead , he was swinging from his heels and striking out too much for a guy that fast.

But he has a D-2 bat. Delta State would be perfect for him.

And that is absolutely puzzling about Gatreau... why did he NOT try to adjust to Brayland's strengths and/or coach/train Brayland to be more of an OBA guy?
