    No excuses this year.

Yeah, the schedule is tough, but we have an experienced team and this is the third year in the system. No where to place blame if it doesn't get done. This is a pivotal year for Leach at MSU.

Ive heard over and over- just wait until Y3 of Leach. Well Y3 is here

Also- we are a veteran team. Developmental teams win in Y3. We are 100% veteran team. This is Leach's year to do big things. We should expect 9-10 wins and anything less will really be disappointing. He wont get many better rosters than this at State

Our Oline better improve. Remember with no Cross we might be seeing alot of WR either running for his life or more dumping off to the RBs/

Our biggest concern coming out of the Spring and still looking to take an OT in the Portal this summer if we can find one.

The LT is really the key. The offense CANNOT work if you can't protect vs 3 rushers with 5 blockers. If your LT can't block the DE for several seconds, then they will get pressure with 3 and the offense will suck.

No other offensive experience or talent matters in this system if you can't block 3 reliably.

Well we could shorten up our splits and leave the RBs in to block. Oh wait.

Can?t. Will not work in this offense. Must have 5 receivers in the pattern if a RB isn?t toting the ball from the get go. Also need a relatively mobile, not fast but elusive, QB who isn?t a statue. You have 5 blocking 4 (3 linemen and 1 blitzer) 75% of the time because 7 have to cover the 5. If the WR aren?t good route runners or fleet of foot, someone will switch to the man one series, then back to the zone the next to confuse the QB. But??. It is time for this offense to work against both now! I?ll say 8?wins and consider that a success against the 3rd toughest schedule in the nation.

The main guy who writes for Athlon sports picked us as one of his teams to surprise people this year as well.

RB should be left in the chip block the DE and then flare out for screen option. That is available all the time and doesn't hurt the passing options (actually can help). Once the RB chips the OT can handle the block. It is the initial move by a good DE that creates a problem and exposes a weak OT.

We just refuse the help the OL out because it doesn't fit a one size fits all blueprint. Maybe we get a good OT.
