    Man it is nice to see a power hitter timing a breaking ball for a base hit even if he is on the other team. I hope smith can over come it without damage. But it die force him to throw more pitches. Sometimes power hitters should do little things to help their team. Hopefully State will have that kind of team next year.

    Smith deserves to win this game!!! He has pitched his but off to save from using the pen.

    So the pickoff revitalized their pitcher and he struck out 3 and got a weak ground ball all on pitches out of the zone.

    It is up to our pitching staff now to hold this one for 3 more innings! Can they do it?
