That?s my point. The air raid principles are growing. Because it?s more common, it?s less of an advantage. When it was such an anomaly, it wasn?t as dependent on execution and personnel. As it?s become more commonplace and understood, the margin for error is much slimmer.

The Jackie and Mullen years were good to us in this series. They played us close some. We beat them by a few TDs on occasion.
Oddest game I can remember was 2003. They were good that year. We were bad. They Had the NFL RB and a good QB. It was the Jackie/Tommy face off post game, game. Joe Lee circled his calendar. Anyways... That was an unexpected win for us.
Biggest disappointment was 1993 and obviously 2021. But 93 kicked off the year in Starkville, Memphis put on an offense show and State couldn't keep pace. Memphis finished 6-5 that year.
