    Pitching question

Realistically who do we have left in the pen? Besides Fristoe Kohn Talley Tepper and Tullar?

I would love to say Walling but it looks like for now he's just not going to factor in.

He's got good stuff but based on his last outing the control issue is still there.

Stinnett done. On top of those mentioned there's also Walker and Cheatham.

It's not as deep as expected because of injuries. But there are still some pieces that can perform- the problem is consistency.

Hunt has emerged as the closer.

Pico and Fristoe are second tier behind Hunt for me.

Drew Talley has performed pretty well. He had a bad performance that blew up his ERA but overall he has been solid.

The next tier after that is Tullar and Tepper and both have been more inconsistent than the above group. But if they're on they can be helpful.

After that you have the freshmen- Walker and Cheatham who are still developing.

Stinnett done? Injury or just so bad, there is no more faith in him?

Question for you coaches. Why can't the Dawgs hit a sinker ball pitcher. It's been that way all year.

Cheatham pitched 2.1 innings and no runs, 4 K's. I will say with this staff even IF we make Sec and Ncaa tourney I can't see us making much noise. I'm all in for getting hot and upsetting a few teams but we never know when the "real Msu" team will show up.

Tough year but better days ahead at least moving forward to the future, just saying.

Depends on if we can stay in the winners bracket or not. The truth is most mid majors even the good ones don't have SEC caliber talent. Sometimes the mid majors win but a SEC team typically will have a talent advantage.

Weird Sec this year. In the West I just don’t see much difference in all the teams. In saying this, we are the most inconsistent team, Ole Dixie may be the most underachieving and Arkansas most over rated and luckiest team.

    I think that's a pretty accurate assessment

Throw the shit out of Walling and Walker and Cheatam etc. Get them some work. We won't, but we need to. We'll go yank up some bad jucos and and transfers. Then we'll cut half of them after fall.

At this point we will likely need to win at least 2 of the final 3 series.

But losing Sims and Simmons, being without Hunt for a month, and losing Auger and Stinnett is a lot for any staff to over come.

The guys out for the year are 4 of the top 8 on staff and Sims/Simmons are probably 2 of the Top 3. Ultimately not having pitching depth and our higher end talent is what got us.
