    2023 FOOTBALL RECRUITING THREAD

Let?s get this thing going. The staff is throwing out ?23 offers like a taco street vendor at the state fair....so let?s start the convo.

    Here?s my first...

    Jackson Arnold
    QB
    Denton, TX (Denton Guyer HS)
    6?3 200lbs

Woo, this kid is FAST, strong arm, really nice vision, moves in the pocket well. Je does what so many on here wish we?d do more of - slip the pocket and make plays/positive yards with his feet. But don?t let it fool ya, he?s deadly throwing the ball.

Might as well go ahead and get the complaining going while we are at it.

[insert Coach name] has no clue how to recruit in the SEC!!!
[Insert Player Name] will never amount to anything. Glad we missed out.
If Leach wanted to recruit as much as he wants to sit at his house in Florida we would have a Top 10 class!!!

I think I got the top ones.

Look, the kid posted his offer publicly. And he?s definitely a great prospect....oh well if he never comes. We?ve pulled some commits this past year I wouldn?t have thought possible before. Who knows what 12 months from now looks like.

2022 recruiting isn?t even done yet. How are we currently sitting with transfers and folks on the 2nd signing day? How do transfers grade into a class?

Jalen Smith Grayson HS, (Grayson, GA)
    LB 6?3 205 3 ⭐️

WOO this kid is lightning quick. I absolutely hate how he stands around in the mid hole when he?s spying the QB, but dang, I?ve not seen a quicker first and second step than his in a while. And he hits with authority. He needs a RS definitely very raw, but there?s some good talent to build on there

This kid is uber talented. With his speed no need to redshirt him. You just tell him to find the ball.

with guys leaving after one year, winning the recruiting title every year in December won't be complete without a follow-up title in the Portal.

This new world of revolving door players is crazier than I ever dreamed.

Oh absolutely. It’s just funny sometimes when there’s a great prospect that would be a great fit and game changer about 9.9999999999% of the time there’s no chance for us. While power houses like Ole Miss always have a shot and actually land some of them. It’s a great feeling to know we will always play third fiddle.

Ole Miss doesn?t fit in the ?Power Broker Group?

They fit in the ?Money Broker Group?

    State doesn?t play that game.

Great, that means we aren't in any group, power or money. Now that's 3rd fiddle.
