I think we can kiss getting 5 star's goodbye. (no more Jeffrey Simmons or Chris jones or Charles crosses etc..). I doubt we ever get another 5 star unless their are rules and regulations put in place around NIL.

There will be a power shift at the top to the richest schools. Bama is going to have a tougher time recruiting against Texas A&M and Texas (when they get to the SEC) A&M and UT can outspend Bama year after year. Not sure on what Oklahoma's money is in comparison. I would think OU would be in that 4-6th range in SEC but not sure.
I'd like to see the NCAA trying to regulate the NIL money. There not going to touch the big money schools. A big can of worms has been opened and no will have a clue how to stop it.

Remember in Tombstone when Behan tries to arrest the Earps after the gunfight? Wyatt tells him he's not going to let him arrest them today.

Replace Behan with the NCAA and the Earps w/ the big money P5 schools.

Does that make us Billy Bob Thorton's pharaoh dealer character who gets kicked out by Wyatt? Or are we Ike Clanton begging Wyatt not to shoot him at the OK Coral?

I already know Ole Miss - they either Jason Priestley's gay cowboy or Wyatt's laudanum addled common law wife.
"After dealing with Ole Miss for over a year," he said, "I've learned to expect their leadership to do and say things that the leadership at other Division I schools would never consider doing and to justify their actions by reminding themselves that "We're Ole Miss.""

I think we're more like Creek and Texas Jack. And OM is that flamboyant Billy Zane actor.

Ah yes, the classic western character actors who no one knows their name, they take the tough hits, make the movie better, but they never win the awards....

I almost went with Billy Zane, but his character was too honest. Priestley was an obvious wannabe who couldn't be original at all. Hung out with the bad guys hoping he fit in, but when they somewhat admired the flashy new guy in town, he tried to copy him to be cool (even if it meant batting for the other team).

    Now this describes them perfectly.
