Texas has twice as many losing seasons as they do 9+ win seasons in the last 12 years. Ever since they lost in the BCS championship game, they haven't been much. We've been better than them and we haven't been that great either. We've got more 9+ wins seasons and less losing seasons than them in that same span while playing against considerably tougher competition. I know that wasn't your point, but Texas is nothing more a thing of the past until they prove otherwise too.

We've had 7 5 stars sign ever and 3 of those were from the 2002 class. I think Mullen had 2 in his entire tenure. I guess it's possible we get less 5 starts but this wasn't something we were really pulling much of anyway. We didn't get a single one between 2005 and 2013.
I think Quay Evans was a 5-star ..... but we all know how that worked out
OXFORD, Miss. (WTVA) - Ole Miss campus police ask students to behave at future baseball games following a recent incident.
The university said students were reportedly throwing rocks at Georgia baseball players during last weekend's series.

Shut down OM & USM. Then with only one major college we would own the state like other smaller states AR and LA. And we'd have better resources! Complete domination... *evil laugh*

Maybe Jimbo should be worried less about beating Bama
    And worry more about beating
    MSU, OM, arky amd LSU..

And this is why State looked like crap in the Bowl. Not enough depth to be competitive. And now with NIL and free transfer, schools like State will never be able to redshirt most of an incoming class because of the ?need immediate PT issue?. Remember when we had Defense 1 and Defense 1A? Alabama and UGA can plug and play year after year. That 1 season, State had no drop off when the 1A group came in. Not any more.

We most certainly did have a drop off. 1A had some players that were better than 1, but 1 was better and the stats clearly showed that. It was a terrible strategy that didn't put all our best players on the field.

This and it cost us too. The last long drive when bama put the game away was with 1B, couple of the td drives against om were against 1B.

Had absolutely nothing to do with depth in our bowl this year. And yes, there was a huge drop off in 1B from 1A. Collins was an idiot with that rotation crap.

    Roughly:

Auburn, Texas, and Florida win 1 or 2 National Titles every 20 years and they play for another 1 or 2. Win Conferences and Heisman with regularity. Is that Tier-2? That's a pretty nice Tier.

Then TAM is not in that Tier.

Jimbo and Bjork are two peas in a pod. Bjork bringing his knowledge of cheating from Oxford to College Station. The NIL deals just make it look legit.

I guess if you going back 20 years. If you doing that, Miami is in the upper tier. If you going 5-10 years, auburn is the only one that's done anything, 2013z. aTm has done just as much as auburn, Texas, and Florida the last 5 years, which isn't much

You are underestimating Texas A&M money and this recruiting class shows it. They finally have the edge they need to spend their money to win. 15 to 20 mil per class moving forward won't surprise me

If nothing changes rules wise, SEC teams combined will be spending 100MM per year on recruiting classes within 3-5 years. And that might be undershooting it..

I think we can kiss getting 5 star's goodbye. (no more Jeffrey Simmons or Chris jones or Charles crosses etc..). I doubt we ever get another 5 star unless their are rules and regulations put in place around NIL.

There will be a power shift at the top to the richest schools. Bama is going to have a tougher time recruiting against Texas A&M and Texas (when they get to the SEC) A&M and UT can outspend Bama year after year. Not sure on what Oklahoma's money is in comparison. I would think OU would be in that 4-6th range in SEC but not sure.
