Elite athlete, but not an elite FB player. I think he also was injured at Bama

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think Knott went Bama to ECU to OM (as a walk-on).

Any thoughts/hints as to who?

Getting Banks and Nicholson will help our secondary immensely. Pretty excited about what we could potentially look like next year.

So, by my count...
2 WR's
1 OT
1 CB- CHECK
2- safeties
1 Kicker
1 Punter
If my recruiting class math is right that would give us 29 signees. Leaving just enough room for a high school OL and CB to get to 31.

The biggest thing is a kicker.
We HAVE to get a kicker no if ands or buts.
Lost us way too many games

I wonder if he can play safety

The better question is I wonder if Nicholson can.

Yes. Banks is rated as a 90 4star in the transfer portal.

Let's go boys! We're going to be BA. Alabama fans thought he may start next year for them
Forbes, Banks, Nicholson, Richardson.... yeah, we're going to ball
Not until we get a GOOD LT and a GOOD kicker.

SEC Radio said yesterday that a wave of dudes will hit the portal after the bowl games.
Patience Grasshopper.

I agree, given the Air Raid's tendency to bog down in the red zone, I would say the FG kicking need is right on par with the LT replacement need as what should be our top priority. You can't repeatedly move down the field and then come up with no points because you can't make routine FGs. That will kill any team's chances of beating a good opponent.

Who’s to say the freshman kicker we had this year doesn’t turn the corner and become a good kicker. I know he sucked this past year but obviously the coaches saw some potential there or they wouldn’t have kept trotting him out there. We needed a kicker last year but we may already have next years kicker on the team. I’m like you though, I’d at least like to sign a Plan B from the portal.

Exactly! These coaches have done an awesome job of recruiting so you have to think they have their eye on someone. Maybe a transfer or someone in the portal.

That's two DB's that can play immediately and two more from HS to build for the future.
I know they missed on K. Rogers to Miami but that seems like a year ago. Who says he won't be in the portal next year and we will have already laid the foundation to get him then. He may not have been counted on this next year heavily anyway, he has an injury that he is rehabbing.
Looking to add two more DB's you say? At least one of them is a safety I am sure. All of a sudden this defense is starting to look like it could be dang good immediately and with a bright future.
Then add one more Tackle that may help now and that kicker. That still leaves room to get best available or stacking positions of need.
I really like the balance of this class. Lots of young talent in the trenches on both sides of the ball and really talented players coming in at seemingly every position from HS and JuCo or portal guys at positions of need.
I don't know how this team will play next year but we should not say this staff can't recruit again. They dang sure can do it.

Leach can't croot. Better learn to beat The Hell Dwellers though.

Ya'll think there was any NIL money involed?

Who is Nicholson? Is he a JUCO transfer?
