Pack your bags and find a realtor howland
You F'ed it up again. Thanks for at least getting us back to mediocrity from the Rick Ray cellar

We are the definition of a dead program. I wouldn't touch it with a 10 foot pole.

I disagree, but Howland needs to have a meeting or two with the higher ups and get this shit fixed.

Our basketball program is done under Howland. We have zero fan support.

Fans still locked in Stans days of glory but we either didn't have the resources
or didn't have the will to improve like most of the West did. We no longer have that "something special may happen" game day feel.

I don't even think about Stans, or those days. No energy from the head coach, no energy from the fans. Get someone with some energy, drive, ambition, and not just drawing a check, it'll pick back up.

What higher ups? It's his job. If he can't fix it he should be canned. We've played two decent teams and lost both. And Minnesota sucks to be honest.

We'll be fine this season, patience...

When y'all waking up to see Cohen and the boosters only give a crap about Baseball? We've got one of the worst basketball facilities in the SEC and they're going to try to polish the turd and continue with a coach that's well past his best years. Football doesn't get the necessary staffing and uses the baseball facility as an IPF. We're cheap as hell. Our big boosters are fine with it.

I've said all offseason that I think we'll be a tourney team, and I stand by that. I never said we'd be a sweet 16 team or anything like that. Just get in it, and have a good overall season. Saturday is a big game for my prediction

This did not register with me until I looked at the banners at the game today: we have not made a Sweet 16 since the 1996 Final Four run. Twenty-five years ago. That's well more than half of my life.
The Stansbury years were awesome, and we had some great teams during that time. None of them got past the second round in the tourney.
I think a lot of our fans think that we are some sleeping powerhouse. We aren't. We have been decent at basketball a handful of seasons my entire life. It's obvious, however, that Howland isn't the guy to take us to a new level. He is too set in his ways, and the game has passed him by. We can't fire him, but he needs to go.

I should have bought one of those mock National Champion baseball rings.....
We'll be living off of that Title for the rest of our lives, and we all know it. Damn sure ain't touching a Final Four again or the CFP in our lifetimes, that's for sure.

Exactly. We are all in as a baseball school. Don't get me wrong, I love that. College baseball is my favorite sport. I would just like to see some kind of competitive fire from the other big two. I am sick of seeing teams that don't play in the Spring/Summer seasons go through the motions just to be out there.

A successful Football program benefits baseball. If it werent for Byrne, Stricklin and Mullen The New Dude isnt what it is today.

Sorry, but our big boosters really shouldn't have that kind of pull anymore. We're getting, what, $40M+ year from the SEC these days? I know it's not an endless amount and we spend a lot of it each year, but we've got to be getting to the point where the boosters don't control it anymore.
