Kelly is soft and Riley simply skipped the SEC meat grinder. Napier has the mentality to not only lead an SEC team but to handle the in game situations that Mullen couldn't.

Brian Kelly has feasted on the weak sisters of the poor. No team they play on a regular basis (other than Clempson) is near them talent wise, they had top 10 classes in 2017, 2018 and 2021. He had a losing season in 2016 after being there 7 years, he's Dan Mullen 2.0. Can he win a natty at LSU? Obviously yes based on Special Ed and Les Miles (who are probably overall worse coaches), but long term he's 8-4/9-3 playing 7 SEC teams each year. The only conference game "off" is Vandy, you have to have your "A" game for the rest of them.
I'd certainly hire Riley over either.

If I were an LSU fan, I wouldn't give a damn how he talked in a presser. Winning games is all I'd care about, and Kelly is gonna do plenty of that

Not sure I believe that on Riley. He left OU because he doesn't want to be in the SEC.

I think Napier has the ability to build a very successful program.
He models his program after what Saban has done and I know subscribes to his philosophy on how to run a program.
Only difference I see right now is that LSU and USC are all in financially. Question is whether or not Florida is willing to do the same.
