Ole Miss had a WR with almost 150 yards receiving and Jett had a damn pick. OM only average 3.5 per carry.

Hate to see him go. It could also be as simple as the fact he is graduating with a degree in psychology and might want to take advantage of using football to get a graduate degree at a school with a more relevant program for his future.

Kiffin is such a ****ing child. He'll never be taken seriously as a coach. It's why he may never get another job better than Ole Miss. People kind of passed it off as him being young for a while but it's obvious he'll never grow up.

They averaged 3.8 that's damn near a 1st down every 2 carries. They also had 3 rushing td's vs 1 passing. The interception had no impact on the outcome on the game, it was over. They gashed us running the entire 2nd half.

We held them to 154 yards rushing. They average 225.
Hate to see brule go. Guy has a big time ceiling and seems like a sharp guy with a good head. Hope it works out for him.

If you ain't running for 4+ yards a carry, you aren't gashing a damn thing. Shut down their RBs. You acting like they had a bunch of long TD runs. I ain't like that. Brule was a good guy to plug in here and there. Wish he had stayed. But he's not as good as the guys ahead of him.

You're wrong. Held them to 100 yds under their total, less than 4 yds/carry, but they gashed us.

Great for him if this is the case. That is what college sports should be about. Play a sport and experience college for free. Get a degree in case Pros don?t work out. Get your degree utilize last year to get a free advanced degree. Bravo sir, well done if this is the case.

I think Brule was playing out of position and should be a MLB. I think he would be a beast there. The problem is we had three LB's that also profile as MLB. I wonder if "forced his hand" means that we were considering sliding him to MLB and having him continue to split reps with Jett and Watson while we start seeing more of Ty Cooper and John Lewis and maybe even some of the incoming recruits if they are ready play more on the EDGE where they profile better for this defense?
I could also see MSU going after an EDGE/OLB type in the portal that fits our scheme better.
Maybe Brule ends up at Tulane? Who knows?
Anyway I think our biggest problem on defense really the past two years was the players didn't really fit a 3-3-5 scheme very well. It was like we were playing three DT's, three MLB's, and 3 box safeties and 2 elite corners. We had no pass rush and our safeties were abused all year.

Ole miss did what they wanted to offensively. They had the ball 6 times the 2nd half and scored on 3 of them it could have been 4 but they decided not to. If it wasn't for Corral playing around with the int they would have scored 5 out of 6 drives the 2nd half. So yeah the 2nd half they gashed us and made us quit. They physically kicked us in the teeth.

I don't know, but that seems like a conversation for spring practice.
Everyone wants to be a beast...until its time to do what beasts do.

Yeah, i don't think Johnson is impressive. He doesn't move well.

So they "decided" not to score a 4th time and Corral was just playing around on that INT... . Our fans, wow.

Good grief. No he's not, and it's not close. There are two guys redshirting this year who are better than him, and that's probably the reason he's moving on.

I believe he can be good and that we will miss him but if getting benched for Jett Johnson is what he is talking about about then it is what it is. People get benched, it's what happens at times. He may have had the higher ceiling but if you aren't playing to it on a consistent down to down basis you run the risk of getting benched. Jett was outplaying him much of the year and earned his playing time, that part is not debatable.
Completely agree. Looking forward to seeing what Jett can do next year.

Jett was the leading tackler for the whole team by 11 tackles. he finished with 88 total. Brule finished 4th with 53 total tackles. if we are going to really compare outside of total tackles.
Jett had:
1 pass deflection
1 INT
1 FF
2 FR
Brule had non one of those. The only thing that Brule had over Jett was Brule had 3 sacks Jett didn't have a sack.

So you think we stopped Ole miss the 2nd half? Yeah...our fans. They dominated the entire second half.
