If he's a good recruiter and still put in this kind of record, that doesn't say much about his development/gameplanning ability:


Keep in mind that the Sun Belt was much worse back then than it is today, and a good coach should have been able to win consistently in it.

However, he may have learned a lot from Saban and cleared up his deficiencies, since he has been better at Oregon (though with more resources and money than most in the conference have).

He's done a good job at Oregon. Certainly nothing spectacular, but good

And somehow Cristobol is going to twist this situation into a huge raise from
Oregon. They are working on the deal now. Coaching college football is where it's at.
