I'd say that last game is worth about 1.9 games. I'm still going to always choose more wins, but it does mean the most. Not only is it the team I hate the most, its also the last game of the season, and our last chance to improve the season.

A genie gives you the choice of two outcomes for a given Mississippi State season:

• Scenario 1 - X wins on the year, one of which is the Egg Bowl
• Scenario 2 - Y wins on the year, but the Egg Bowl is a loss

Now, if X ≥ Y, I think it's safe to say we all pick X.

But, if X < Y, do you still pick X? Or does it depend on how many fewer wins?

If Y gets us a NY6 bowl I take that. If we're talking about 7, 8 or MAYBE even 6 wins and going to one of the Outback/Dukes/MusicCity/TX group of bowls either way, give me X.
