Egg Bowl Weather Update Please
Per Ron Childers, on WMC-TV Memphis, most if not all rain should be out of most northwestern MS counties by mid to late morning. By the speed of the front moving in a southeasterly direction, it seems the chances of it clearing Starkville well before game time are pretty good.
Could one of our weather guys give your perspective, please.
Thanks so much & Happy Thanksgiving To All!

Since I bought a poncho and will have it with me at the game it won't rain.
You're welcome boys!

Rain looks to clear the area around 7:00 or so at the latest the last I looked. Rainfall totals should be in the 0.25"-0.50" range. Temps in the upper 40's to low 50's.

It appears that this front is coming on and rain reaching campus around noon. It?s guess that it will be dry - rain ending about 4. This front has already crossed the river

Latest runs of the HRRR are hinting at things falling apart as it crosses I-55 and east MS not getting much rain. Hope this trend continues.

I live about 20 miles across the river into Arkansas and it start raining here at 5:00 am it has totally stopped at 9:00 am. the front is moving fast so look for about 4 hours of rain whenever it starts at Starkville.

It looks like the rain will arrive in Starkville about 11AM and move through by 3PM+.
So now the issue becomes what is the weather during game time. Possibly 56 at kickoff, dropping 10 degrees to 46 and wind picking up to 10mph by the end of the game. No heavy raingear needed just warm clothes!

Radar now showing the weakening trend.
-
Looks like future radar showing all rain pretty much gone by 430-5. Hope that's true!
-
Hourly forecast still shows rain at kickoff. Rain would be to ole miss advantage. We can handle cold, winds ten mph or less are doable.

Looks like the actual frontal boundary just went through Memphis. Progged to move through Starkville around 8 pm (Halftime). Before then, expect mid to upper 50's and patchy drizzle as the boundary layer will still be pretty saturated until the front moves through. As the front moves through, winds shift to northwesterly with gusts of 15-20 mph. Temps will only fall to around 50 by the end of the game, but wind chill will be in the low 40's.

I think there?s a 100% chance of KlanShart tears mixed with some sissy powder blue.

Back edge is a eupora to Aberdeen line. Hopefully not much longer.

Looks like it’s raining pretty good still on TV. How is it there?
