Defensive strategy Egg Bowl
Matt is gonna run. Spy him with somebody that is quick and doesn't whiff. #3 may not be that guy. Quick, but has whiffed a lot this season.
Whoever ol ms puts in the slot could have a career night against us, if Arnett doesn't alter coverages. MSU safeties are an extreme liability. Emerson and Forbes will do their jobs in coverage, but they will have to come up and help snuff the run, which they are also good at.
Lane has some gimmick plays that he'll throw out there, so got to be disciplined. OM always comes out on fire in the 1st quarter and then fades in the 2nd half. Our D must make sure that continues. This game will be won or lost in the 2nd half. Gotta do it in the trenches. Pray for #78. Their D will look to expose him.

The key to beating UMiss is psychological. They will look like world beaters at the beginning. Stay focused. It is a facade. There is 100% chance they score on the first drive, if not the first play. Max 5 plays on their first drive. Survive the storm and don't get so far behind that we don't have enough time for our INEVITABLE come back after they make us look silly for 1.5 quarters.
The Liberation will not be televised--- when it arrives like lightning in the skies!

Their run defense wasn’t too good against Vandy, Leach might exploit that with more run designs than anyone expects.

Just slow down their tempo early with fake cramps like they always do.

I'd like to see us work in some tempo and maybe a wildcat package!

We have Proven the ability to contain an Ole miss O and the ability to shred their D. just gotta nut up and get r done.

Corral is a master at running, then sliding very late. He can draw a late/illegal hit penalty. He slides very late when the defender has already committed.
-
Hope we come out ready to play-not like the Auburn game at first. Ole Miss has good RB's-especially Ealy. We've got to contain him, and we need to pressure Corral.
