SEC needs to do rivalry week better in the future
The SEC can make rivalry week even better once Oklahoma and Texas arrive. Thanksgiving week can be the biggest week in CFB if they do things right.
Thursday Games
Egg Bowl becomes a staple at 6:30 PM on Thanksgiving night
Friday Games
Arkansas -LSU 2:30 CBS
Texas- Texas A&M 6:30 ESPN
Saturday Games
Iron Bowl 2:30 CBS
Oklahoma - Oklahoma State 7 pm ABC
then you get at alternating times
Florida - Florida State
Clemson - South Carolina
Tennessee- Vandy
Georgia - GA tech
Kentucky - Louisville
ETC
( I really miss the Friday afternoon LSU- Arkansas games when arkansas was really good )

There wont be a CBS game in the future for those games to be on. All ESPN or ABC
More than likely I could see Texas and aTm going to the Thanksgiving night slot when they come to the league.
Probably no Ok-Ok State after Oklahoma's conference departure, logistically would be tough as Missouri would need an opponent for rivalry weekend with Arkansas play LSU the last game of the season again.

100%. I often forget they are in the SEC. I wish we would drop them and pick up Virginia Tech.

Ive always wanted VA Tech too along with NC State. Im sure the st Louis advertising $ is good but MO just don't fit.

I know this will be unpopular, but I wish they?d play the rivalry games early in the season. Better health, better weather. The biggest issues would be that lots of fans might write off the rest of the season if their team loses and it removes the spoiler role.

I'd be so down for that. I always thought oky state fit the SEC much more than mizzu.

If we're going to do a Friday day game, I don't see why we wouldn't do a Thursday day game also. Just about everybody outside of retail is off work Thursday. Lots of people don't get Friday off though.
I'd love to have two good SEC matchups on Thursday and Friday.

I don't care about playing them earlier, but I wish the SEC would cut down on the number of teams scheduling cupcakes the weekend before the rivalry game. If somebody is playing on Thursday or Friday, sure, put a cupcake the week before. Or if somebody has an out of conference rivalry game, let them play a cupcake. But the schedule should be a little more balanced to make sure we have a good SEC matchups spread out over each weeked of the year.

SEC likes the expanded foot print that Missouri gives them over Oklahoma. OK State adds very little after already having OK in that market.
Mississippi State and Ole Miss would have never gotten an invite together in the SEC. One of us better be glad we were a founding member, probably both of us.

I think we should expand the playoff to 12 teams
10 game regular season
7-8 conference games
1 non conference power 5 matchup
1 non conference G5 matchup
I just don't like how we went from 12 sec teams 10 years ago today to possibly next year having 16. Also 3 out of the 4 schools the sec added are " elite programs" so that hurts us
