If you think the banner M should be replaced, you haven't been to campus in a while. That would be a million $ project to remove it from every inch of campus. The point is, evidently those in charge feel the banner M and woodmark Mississippi State are THE logos and will be used for years. Banner M and woodmark logo obviously market better.

Also, football deserves it own identity. The MoverS is a nice baseball logo. Let football have their own logo. Create a new helmet decal. Just don't use the MoverS unless you want to tell the nation we are a baseball school mainly.

It should be removed from our football uniform. I don?t mind it on the water towers. Leave it there. He?ll leave it everywhere, but it doesn?t need to be on our uniforms. Those change constantly.

Flying M matches with Air Raid but doesn't have timeless appeal like MoverS. But to me those uniforms were fire.

Walking Bully is good for fan clothing and flags and the ilk. It should not be used as a helmet logo. Fact of the matter is we're 2-0 when not wearing the banner M under Leach. I'm not superstitious but i am a little stitious.

Best uniform look in years, we need to DUMP the banner ASAP.

Same here. I don't wear MSU gear with Banner Mstate. Just looks silly on stuff. Like a cartoon.
M over S, Flying M is mostly what I try to wear because like you said, it just looks cool on clothing.

I have a few Tommy Bahama shirts with it. Couple game specific hats. Vast majority of my wardrobe has other logos.

Hmm... I've found nothing showing that he did any research. Therefore I can reasonably conclude he did none. Nothing readily available.

Your turn to counter with evidence. If you can't provide evidence he did then it clearly didn't happen. Again, the burden of proof now lies on you.

And there was no research into the money of the banner M. It was selected by a panel of the faculty in some stupid move to "consolidate" things. Nevermind they never consolidated everything (see baseball, our most successful sport). It was all a stupid ass Templeton move like so many others.

And there was no research into the money of the banner M. It was selected by a panel of the faculty in some stupid move to "consolidate" things. The way someone has told me, who was involved on the committee back then - The University may never get rid of Banner Mstate regardless of what anyone says(I think that may change with a new generation) , BUT if the athletic department wants to make changes with logos they can present it to the University for approval. Seeing how we already have sports teams wearing "State", "M over S", and we have worn the Flying M, then there should be not issue if we push the AD department on this.
Also, recruiting- both athletes and students to have unique logos.

Yep. The people in charge at that time were in agreement on the MState logo. It wasn't some BS conspiracy that LT shoved it upon everyone.

What I see in college athletics marketing is teams getting away from traditions and going to variations and numerous different looks. That is more of the reason the MState logo on the helmet may diminish but I don't think it is because the MState is soooo bad.

On the MS baseball logo. I get it that State fans are excited about the NC and want to interject the baseball NC into everything and anything at the present. However, that MS logo looked very plain on the football helmet. It is a great logo for baseball, as it is a version of a great baseball tradition, the New York Yankees. However, if State wants to replace the MState on the helmet, come up with something really good. Something that says, Mississippi State football, not something that has been branded as MSU baseball.
