We had a defense in 2014. Ole Miss does not this season. They would be getting run out of games with out Corral. He is their team. Take him away they are nothing.

I hope the bastards lose every game they ever play, but they are a probable NY6 team with an outside shot at playoffs. I hate to see it.

I think they get beat this weekend. A&M is physical and that could be a problem for them as well. I dont think we will beat them because we give up too many big plays. But you never know in that game

Ok. Well, they?re top 10 and just a few years off probation while we are fighting amongst ourselves over just exactly how bad we suck and what exactly is realistic going forward. Their Outback Bowl win last year is better than any of ours during the streak. Add that to their Sugar Bowl win and, it hurts to even insinuate this, but they have the better post season outcomes the last decade. They say cheaters never win, but outside of the break while they were in detention, it hasn?t seemed to hinder them much.

They've been to 1 bowl in 5 years.

Indiana sucked last year and was without their qb, who was their only decent player.

Again, OM is solid. Corral is a first round qb who makes them go. No doubt about that. But...

They've beaten no top 25 team. Austin peay sucks, Tulane defense is 128 out of 130, Louisville is 102, LSU is 90, TN is 80. Then only top 30 defense they have played is Bama and it was 42-7 before Bama pulled everybody. Meanwhile We've played the toughest schedule in the country per PFF. Let's see how OM does at auburn and vs Aggie.

You didn't say they are good. You said they will be in Atlanta and go 11-1. I will admit they are pretty good, but they aren't going 11-1 and they aren't going to Atlanta.

They are a pretty similar team to a lot of recent teams. Good offense, bad defense, 8-9 win team.

Yes. 1 in 5 years, but a decade is 10 yrs, and you?re counting probation/ncaa investigation time as if it were just missed bowls while trying to hide the previous 5 years because it supports my point. Their Sugar Bowl win is better than any bowl win in our history. That and the OutBack win alone are better than the wins in the streak of music city, belk, and armed forces bowls.
As far as strength of schedule, I hear this every year that we underperform. I forgot how every CFB analyst had LATech and Memphis as CFB playoff dark horses, my apologies. I just get tired of the- we have the toughest schedule ever and refs hate us victim mentality. Let?s stop laying blame and get better. Unfortunately, I don?t think CML is a better coach than CDM. Maybe, just maybe, the bleeding will stop and it?ll eventually level off.

Ole Miss is good and they may luck up and run the table the rest of the way but Mississippi State is a ref ****ing at Memphis and a couple of bone head plays against LSU from having the same record as them with one, maybe two, better wins. You gotta rank them that high right now because of their record.
I think they lose on the road at Auburn and at home against A&M. I would love for Freeze to find some luck and beat them because the melt would be glorious but I don't see that happening. I think our best shot against them would be for Corral to be beaten up pretty good by the Egg Bowl which is a possibility.

Fallout post liberty loss would be beyond glorious. I might would swap an EB loss this year if I could guarantee that one.

Everyone is afraid of Corral?s arm but the run game is what makes them go. Bama took it away from them and they struggled mightily. They are also beat up at receiver now and aside from Drummond are pretty average at that position. Now Kiffin has been good at scheming guys open, but I?d much rather take my chances defending their depleted crop of receivers than just concede the run like their last three opponents have.

I'm not hiding anything. There been to 5 Bowls the last decade. We've been to 10. I'll take our last decade over theirs every day of the week. And that sugar bowl was vacated. The only reason they got it was the same reason they were on probation. Everybody knows that.

And on strength of schedule, take it up with PFF. I'm just telling you what the numbers say.

Check your facts again. The Sugar Bowl was not vacated, trust me, I?ve had this discussion with OM fans too many times when the news first dropped until I was proven wrong, too. Their bowls are just better than ours, but if we can stop worry about being victims of unfair scheduling and mean referees, maybe that doesn?t have to be the case.

They have had a couple of more highs than us

We have been the more consistent, better program.

Agree, but I?m starting to think I could skip a meal if it means getting a ribeye instead of an every day sirloin. Is it wrong to be dissatisfied with what feels like sustained consistent mediocrity?

They've averaged going to a bowl every other year while we have went every year. I absolutely would take ours. The analogy is would your rather eat only every other day but it be a ribeye, or eat every day and it be a strip. Give me the latter.

Had a lot lower lows too. A 2-10 and a 4-8 in the last 10 seasons. Couple 5-7s too.

Not paying for PFF, but another composite. We aren?t top 10.

Thank goodness for sanctions or that?s probably not the case. In fact, without the NCAA stepping in, we probably don?t have an 11 bowl streak.
You can slant the analogy, but if a Sugar Bowl win is a ribeye, most of our bowls aren?t NY strip and I am being generous calling some of them sirloin. We?ve had a strip or 2, but not enough to act as if it?s the norm and them coming out of sanctions and winning the outback is concerning to me to a degree. Maybe I?m being a bit too negative, but I am also tired of banty roosters being able to crow. Oh, well, enough of this. We have a big game coming up and a Natty to celebrate.

Agree - now that a/m will play the full playbook post-Bama they?ll outscore kiffin.
