    James Franklin and the SEC

Interesting discussion on SEC Radio yesterday afternoon. It seems Franklin has told some folks he wants back in the SEC but only in a top tier program. He wants to be HC at LSU, UGA, or Bama.

Thought that was interesting. Looks like he might could go after the LSU job.

If he goes after LSU, he will get it.

He's a good recruiter and motivator but he will need some good Coordinators to be successful. He's a better X O guy than Coach O but not a great one.

That's true but what he did at Vandy was nothing short of a miracle.

I think he would get roasted at LSU. Unless his heart is just not in it at Penn State, I honestly feel like he has under performed since being there.

Will LSU wait until after season to go after who they want? I would think so.

Then when Saban retires, he'll head to Alabama.

Maybe you forgot asterisks. Alabama wouldn't be interested in Franklin.

Franklin had Vandy on fire toward the end. We were lucky we never played them while he was there.

This year! But you take the totality of his tenure there with the money, history and backing you would think he would have had a much more less volatile time there.

Nah I think someone else who resides in the upstate of SC is waiting for that.

Considering the situation he went into. Underperforming isn?t the right term. 3 11 win seasons in 7 years. Not too shabby. I could see him at USC.

Would be the rational decision but everything has been a circus there for going on 2 years now.

Yeah, but two of those were flash in the pan with an all world running back and pretty good QB with a great OC that sucked as a head coach. lol

It's a ploy to get a payday raise. There's no reason for him to leave Penn state for LSU.
