For real! Need some help weather dawgs! Planning a big tailgate at the liberty bowl. My forecasts have been all over the place. One sez rain in the morning. One sez 50% all day. Another sez 20%.

Well you know since it isn't anything interesting like a hurricane I guess it doesn't matter.**

National Weather Service is giving an 80% chance in the afternoon. High of 84.

Damn, I'll miss y'all this weekend. Unfortunately I'm out of town. But hopefully I can catch you in Starkville later this year.

I looked at one of the high res models this morning and it was showing very little rain during the game.

Latest HRRR continuing to just show widely scattered showers in the Memphis area during game time.

Any chance of lightning delays preventing us from playing?

I'm fine with being wet. I just don't want to sit around in the rain for us not to end up kicking off until 8pm

There's been a very persistent area of storms near Memphis all morning moving about the speed of smell and it does have lightning. I'm hoping it eventually dissipates or moves out. Otherwise, it could be a rainy game and lightning delays will be possible. HRRR still shows it moving out before game time so I'm still hopeful it's a relatively dry game.

Radar shows Memphis dry at the moment, but anything can happen over the next 2 hours. If there's lightning near the stadium, expect game delays. Lots of rain all over the southeast but there's very little movement where there is rain and thunderstorms. Could easily lead to flash flooding in some areas.
