    Watching the Oregon-Ohio State game

Makes me wish Joe Moorhead would have worked out. That offense just looks awesome.

Not a slant towards Leach at all. Just saying I wish Moorhead could have figured it out.

Moorhead is a good OC but he was over his head as a HC.

Is The Ohio State really the #3 team? They don't really look like it.

That's a good question. I do know, now, that 14.5 was a sucker bet.

There is a #1 team & a huge drop off. There isn't really a 2-15 team this year

This is the truth. The chasm between Bama and the others has grown larger and larger over the years. Clemson was able to bottle something with elite QBs in Watson and Lawrence but it took generational talents for them to be able to compete. I really believe Georgia is the only team that can challenge Bama this year.

Both down in the 3rd quarter. ECU would go nuts beating USCe.

It doesn't look anything like the offense that he was trying to run at State. Guess Cristobal dictated what scheme he wanted and Moorhead said "yes sir"...amazing

Not really. Looked really similar to what we did when he was here. So did the final numbers.

Difference is those guys run his offense well and he has one of the best OL groups in the country.

Moorhead is used to tearing up big 10 defenses. It would be interesting to see him as an OC in the SEC, but his days in the SEC are over. I Would be surprised to see him back in SEC in any capacity, and I doubt he gets a HC job at any of the big conferences again. Leadership abilities just weren't there to manage a program in a major conference.

He will get another chance at HC. He is still pretty young and after a few years, people will forget how bad he actually was at managing a program and just see that his win totals weren't that bad. And in fairness he should get another shot. I don't know that I'd consider him an option if I were hiring for a P4 job, but I'd be willing to give him a shot at a G5 school if he does well as an OC for the next 4 years. He's definitely knkows enough football to be a good head caoch. It's just a question of whether he learned enough from his mistakes at State, and figure out how to fix them.

I believe Moorhead's biggest flaw was that he went from running a program at the FCS level with scholarships advantages, to Penn St and have a generational talent in Barkley. He then came and took over our program that had none of that. It was an even playing field and the athletic advantages he had at his other stops were null and void. I think this frustrated him because he started to believe that he was a play calling wizard that couldn't fail and this is where we saw the problems start to arise within the program.

There is probably something to all of that, but I think another big issue is he went from being head coach at Fordham, where I suspect the athletes could handle a lot more personal responsibility, to going to PSU, where Franklin took care of accountability, and then came to the SEC and thought athletes would respond to the same approach that his players at Fordham did.

Ohio State is really down this year they lost a lot on defense. They will probably go 9-3 losing today and to Penn State and one of the Michigan teams. That being said Oregon looks solid and will probably win the Pac 12. Their only completion will be USC and UCLA since Washington and Stanford are really down

    Ohio State is not awesome.

They beat Minnesota. Gophers are not good.
