    Alabama High School Football Recruiting

    I don't follow high school recruiting but I do watch high school football. I'm in Alabama but I got 4 players that will make some noise at the next level and some of the best I've witnessed in high school in my lifetime.

    I'll add this there is a lot of high school talent out there. Easy to see how a school can take a 2-3 star and compete for championships. I also saw some players that looked like D1 getting off the bus but didn't really play like it. The stuff inside a player makes a big difference.

    The 4

    Kicker at Muscle Shoals, a junior. Best high school kicker I've seen. Kicked a 40 yarder against Florence last Friday with no time left. Watched him in warmups and he was hitting 50 yards right down the middle. If I was Saban, I'd offer him right now and be done with kicking for those 4 years.

    QB at Brooks, Murks. Best duel threat QB I've seen play high school. Seen him throw it 75 yards in the air for TDs. Explosive on the ground, no one can get him. Not sure many know about him but every school in Southeast should be after him. Watched him last year outplay a QB that had about 15 offers and like 8 SEC offers. He is super talented. Problem is he has too much attitude but he is talented.

    This one is not a secret I guess. Someone told me he was #2 CB in high school by some outlets. Don't know his name but he is #3 from Florence High School. We got Kivon Coman and Benny Brown from Florence. Florence is loaded with college talent. #3 was unstoppable at WR last week. He is tall and fast.

    Same team and I don't know his name either but #8 from Florence was better than #3 running the ball. Unreal athlete. He should have a pile of offers too.

    Muscle Shoals and Florence put a lot of talent on the field last week. MSU might not could get these players but there is good talent to go around and compete. Bama can't get them all.

    Hi R2Dawg;
    I would like to share some information in regards to recruiting. I coached at Southwestern Junior College, in San Diego, and had recruiting duties so I have had many communications. Recruiting is skewing towards HUDL accounts. HUDL is the current best info base for recruiting. All credible high school players should have a HUDL file being managed by the players head coach and position coach. The coaches should oversee the HUDL content. In addition to the coaches, the player should be coached on the HUDL criteria therein also. Many tuned in parents involve themselves with the HUDL accounts also.

    My last season at Southwestern Junior College had me look at hundreds of high school football player's high lights, usually thru HUDL. I have had personal video emails from dedicated football coaches also. I have outreached to Alabama coaches who have sent me content.

    Many well coached players have sent their video files thru out America. The reason why I know this is because their files were in my email in box. Parents have sent video to me in the past also.

    Now there are services preying on players and parents desperate to compete in the recruiting meat market. This is saturating the video circulated coast to coast. It is exhausting trying to fully absorb excessive video content.

    I respect your effort and passion for your people thus I felt compelled to share this statement with you. Ask your players if they have their HUDL account current and updated. Ask your players about how much oversight their coaches are overseeing. God Bless

    Thanks for the feedback. Only reason I have seen some of the players I posted about is my daughter goes to one of the schools and my nephew is an OL for one. He is also a good prospect and has D1 offers. I don't think he'll get SEC looks but he might. He's been to Bama, OleMiss and a few others. He is 6-4, 290 plays center.

    I'm just impressed with the amount of good talent out there. Folks that follow recruiting seems like there are only 100 really good players out there. It is just not true. The #2 CB in nation was good but he wouldn't have been my top pick on the field that night. At least 2 others would have been but they ain't ranked high. Plenty of good talent for the MSU's of the world to be very good and compete with the big boys. Get some here, develop and coaching is all it takes.

    One more for you R2Dawg,

    Your people need content against upper tiered competition. I attached a video for you. The red team flew into Dallas from Los Angeles and massacred a Dallas 6A team that was 39Wins-3Losses in front of about ten thousand home fans. Duncanville Dallas had great looking defensive linemen who could not get close to the quarterback. This is observed, the quality of competition, for SEC considerations. It is an accomplishment for any high school player to go to any D1 program by the way?
