Our New Punter - transfer portal

Archer Trafford can bomb it!. See the link where he kicked a 100 yard punt in a football game - 87 yards in the air. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pOQZhJtiGSE

Here is another video where Archer consistently punts 60+ yards in Kohl's Kicking camp this summer: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ht5_09QNsNE

So Tucker Day is in danger of losing out? He looked rough in the bowl game.

How much eligibility does the new leg have?

Day does some goofy things at times. He worries me about that.

This phrase applies to approximately 98.749% of the kickers and punters at all levels of football.

As an ex college kicker I am 100% going to agree with this phrase.

I tried to look him up on 247 portal and found nothing on him. We sure he is real? Archer "Hardy" Trafford? They call him Archer because he is really good with a bow and arrow.

That's all I got on him other than he is the size of linebacker.

Are you saying he is coming to MSU or that we should go after him?

He's on the depth chart as an "or" with Tucker Day

When other kickers gasp and clap for your kicks you're doing something right.

Dang he's a big ol boy who appears to have a cannon. Lot of length and hang time on those videos. Always loved to have a left footed punter too, it messes up return guys.

ETA that 100 yard punt was crazy. Had to get it out in a hurry and hammered it. Geez.

Let's hope actual game performance matches practice. He would be a hell of a weapon.

Coverage team better be fast and tackle well. Eliminate/minimize any returns and he could definitely be a weapon if he punts like that consistently.

with a 5.8 hang time, the gunners could be there before the ball. They get a second or so head start before he even kicks it.

He kicked every one of those 70 yards and 5+ seconds hang time. Dang. No offense to Day, but we need to use this guy every time we have a full pitching wedge in to the green.
