    A weather silver lining

I know we still have to get though the next 30 hours or so with Ida, but taking a look ahead I thought I'd share some probable good news and potential really good news.

For the game next Saturday it looks as though we'll have a small cold front move through. I know for the first game we have all grown accustomed to a day game with temps in the upper 90's and humid as Satan's ass crack. However, things are looking pretty good for a high Saturday in the mid to upper 80's and some reasonably dry air for this time of year. Dew points look to be in the low 60's so no real heat index. The possible really good news comes for our next game. This is still 288 hours out so I'm not convinced this happens yet, but the gfs is showing a stronger front moving through before that game. How would a high for that Saturday in the upper 70's and see points in the mid 50's suit every one? I don't remember ever having weather like that in mid September, so I can't get overly optimistic about it. But the gfs has been toying with this front for a few days now. The euro doesn't go out that far yet but it is showing a front headed our way at the end of its run. So fingers crossed.

Maybe that will help with attendance. There is a ton of tickets for sale on Facebook and stubhub for Saturday.

Yeah, if it comes to pass, mother nature will make up for it by giving us 100 degrees and 80% humidity for the Memphis game.
