    Cerantola signs with Royals

Signs for 500K, which is about 100K over slot. I believe that leaves McCants and MacLeod left to sign.

I believe there's 6 days left for prospects to sign.

Good for him......Kinda surprised he got over the slotted value......I'm guessing McCants and Macleod will sign......Just don't see either of them in maroon/white next year.....

Yeah I think they both sign. Cool thought, if Mac came back and was our ace leading us to a second straight NC to vindicate his 21 showing.

From what I can see, there are only 6 1st rounders left to sign. One of those is Jack Leiter.

Total in the 1st 5 rounds there are about 17 players who haven't signed. Florida had a couple of those in Jud Fabian and Nathan Hickey. Would be massive for them if they got those 2 back. Rumor was Fabian would be hard to sign. Florida also has commit Chase Petty unsigned from the 1st round at pick 26. He would have a shot to get to campus at this point if the numbers don't work.

Lawlar is apparently making things difficult. If Vandy found a way to get him on campus....

What?s ridiculous is the rangers have already signed 6 picks from rounds 5-10. Ended up saving 300 grand under the slot value for all 6. Leiter is looking at roughly 7.9 mil at the slot value and could demand more which is insane so the 300 grand will be the extra padding to the Leiter fund.

Yeah looks like that dropped late last night. Signs for $800,000 which was about $120,000 over slot.

So the last remaining unsigned with MSU is Mac.

Leiter is probably waiting to see how much they have left and is going to ask for all of it. He can credibly threaten to go back to school. I would think he would blink first if the rangers actually wanted to play tough, but not sure how much difference there is between paying $7.9 and say $8.5 for a pick. If he is as good as expected and makes it to the majors early, you'll be glad you have him. If he disappoints, that extra money spread over the length of the contract doesn't mean much.
