It?s interesting how there is a vocal contingent fighting to ?end repression? by white washing everything. I mean?the people fighting for representation of minorities are actively fighting to remove the name and likeness of minorities from any product. Hahahaahah!!?

I actually like that. It sounds classic.

Agreed. It's grown on me, as well.
Also, re: City Bagel: Red-pepper parmesan bagel, toasted, with carrot-walnut-raisin-cream cheese. Perfection.

This is all due to how bad we 17'd over the Indians and for whatever reason many still live on reservations. There were some bad assed chiefs and warriors back in the day who fought valiantly and died bravely on the battle field.
If people of Irish decent were 17'd over as bad as the Indians, ND would be pressured into dropping their mascot.
No sports team adopts their name to demean. The Redskin name was to honor their courage while fighting for their land. It's really simple and quite silly that the white virtue signalers started all of this TOTAL BULLSHIT.

I agree with you mostly (surprise, lol), but names like Warriors, Braves, Chiefs, etc. are very different than Redskin. To your point, the formers do mostly denote honor and a positive legacy. Redskin, on the other hand was a slur used to literally demean and reduce their humanity based on skin color, obviously with the goal of making it easier to kill them.

good post and it has iron. Our cavalry back in the day used the term and you are correct as to the reason they used it. Back in the 50's, Dwight E formed "Operation Wet Back" to tackle the border. The last thing I would do if I met an Indian would be to call him a redskin. But The Redskins had become so ingrained into the casual football fan's mind, nobody ever gave it much thought until white virtue signalers decided to go woke and threaten bidnesses with boycots and law suits. Before that, there were no public protests or what not. Shouldn't go 'round trying to fix what ain't broke hiding under the false banner of oppression.

I used to get the breakfast red pepper parmesan (their objectively best bagel) and the asiago cheese breakfast bagel. Then I would put Cholula on top...mmmm. Also, I kind of liked that your drink was a single can of coke from the freezer. It made you savor it.
Whatever their energy bars were too. A got one and one for the road if I wanted to indulge.
Miss that place. But hey! We have Bojangles now!
