I don?t see us beating NC State. That 3 game stretch with lsu, A&M, and Bama is brutal. Hopefully we can come on strong late in the year.

I?m right there as well with a good shot at 7-5?maybe 8-5 with a bowl win. I think NC State will be a good gauge on how the season will progress. If we struggle to score against them and barely win or lose then we are looking at 5-7 probably.

I think this will be the toughest OOC schedule we have had since 2009. La Tech is favored to win their conference I believe, Memphis has been decent in recent years, and N.C. State is improved. I could see us winning the last 6 games of the season though. I'm going with 7-5.

And with 8-4 mike leach should get a raise. He will be what Mullen was and that?s our ceiling
lol your worst case makes me want to barf. idk what I will do if that happens. I agree with your prediction, hoping we can pull an upset against lsu, a&m, or auburn.

I think we will be pretty good but our schedule limits us a bit. I am expecting 6-6 or 7-5, but this is a Mike Leach team so I expect us to get there in an unusual way. As in we do something like lose to NC State and Memphis but beat LSU and Auburn.

Why? NC State doesnt care and last time we played we beat them like a red headed step child. That is a W. Memphis is scarier than NC State to me

8-5 with a bowl win. Solid chance at 9-4

You should look into what they are doing over the past couple years. I know Doeren has been there a few years but they seem to be gaining ground. That is not a walk through game, if state is sloppy they could very easily get beat.

Absolutely we could. If we play down. Memphis is scarier to me bc its at Memphis, they are bought in now, it will be sold out.

Every kid on that Memphis roster is mad as hell that MS State didnt want them.

Here is what is real.... folks talking about new wrinkles. Got to do this or that. Leach is going to run the same plays he has run for 20 years. It is up to the QB to be on the money. The wrs to be consistent with their routes. Also the defense to play well.... as is always the case.

The offense was to inconsistent last year to look at the schedule and check off a bunch of Ws based on the past.

The chances of us winning less than 5 games with this schedule is extremely low.

yep, this would put us in the natty race and if we pull off the upset vs Bamer, we will have our 2nd Natty.

We will get blown out of 2-3 games at least. SEC remains a trench game

I refuse to believe that. I bet Leach and Co are not buying your take either.

Wow. NC State will probably have their best team in years. Deep and experienced. I think NC State is rated higher than us in the preseason. We will have our hands full.

Well remember one thing; we final started RTGDFB at the end of the season. This season with Will more accustomed to Leachs offense we should see more rushing which will break the 3-8 def and we go 9-3. If no more rushing plays then we will go 3-9.

Aye, lol. Holy hell that would be a shit show. Not sure Mike could survive an 0-6 start, at least with the fans. His goose would be cooked. He probably still wouldn't get fired after that, but a 6-6 season the next year, including a loss at OM, would be awfully hard to overcome.

That being said, pretty confident that scenario ain't happening. I do expect us to be improved this season. How much, and how that equates to wins/losses we'll obviously find out.
