Football 2021 Season
I know its early, but, lets get the conversation started.
9/4 La Tech
9/11 NC State
9/18 Memphis
9/25 LSU
10/2 Texas A&M
10/16 Bama
10/23 Vandy
10/30 Kentucky
11/6 Pigs
11/13 Auburn
11/20 Tennessee State
11/25 igits up north
I dont know everything. but, I dont understand why we couldnt be 8-4 to 10-2 with the team that we think we are going to field. What are you guys thinking? i think 6-6 is very low on the expectation scale.

8-4
wins
la tech
nc state
memphis
vandy
kentucky
pigs
tennesse state
ole miss
9-3
all the above and LSU or Auburn.
we do not know what they are going to be at all. LSU is going to have their athletes but, we have gone toe to toe with them pretty much every year for the past decade. Don't see why that stops now.
Honestly who the heck is Auburn going to be this year, that could easily be a 10th win.

I believe that Leach's offense can get it done and just don't know how long it will take him.
Don't chalk up 4 wins in the OOC just like that: The NC State game is scary. That is no gimmie by any means. They are picked to finish 2nd in the ACC by Athlon.
In conference, there is a consensus that Bama & Texags are auto-losses because they are just too talented for us. The rest are tossup games in various forms of chance of winning.
I am a believer in this offense and I do think this defense will be nasty so:
I say 8-4 and I will growing wool all winter! All the SEC WEST teams ranked 3-7 could beat each other on a given day. I put KY and NC State in that crowd as well. We easily could be 2-4 going into Vandy week looking to get a win and pull out a good season.

We have won 10 games twice in our history and one was with the Dallas Cowboys QB....We have to get better at QB to win more than 7 games....Right now, I think 6-6 until I see us run the ball more and pass more than 5-10 yards a play.

Not sure how this offense overcomes the 3-8 zone against good SEC defenses. We will either throw into coverage for INTs or PBUs or throw to the backs for minimal gains. Arnett's Defense will have to win us some games.
-
I wouldn't write a W in ink beside Memphis either.
An SEC team playing there is always their "super bowl".
I wouldn't be surprised by anything from 2-9 to 8-3.

Yep, there we are.
This season will tell us if the hire was a winner or a dud. A JWS or Mullen team would win 8-10 with that schedule but now idk.

You would not be surprised by 2-9? Good lord get real.

5-7 or 6-6.. just can?t see Will being the answer. Would love to be wrong and get to 8-4 but I?m not sure how we get to 8 wins looking at that schedule.

After last season I ain't predicting shit. I just want us to look like we've taken a step forward in this offense and figured some shit out.

9/4 La Tech WIN
9/11 NC State WIN
9/18 Memphis WIN
9/25 LSU LOSS
10/2 Texas A&M LOSS
10/16 Bama LOSS
10/23 Vandy WIN
10/30 Kentucky WIN
11/6 Pigs WIN
11/13 Auburn LOSS
11/20 Tennessee State WIN
11/25 igits up north WIN
As usual per those that have followed Leach we will win one we shouldn?t and lose one we should not so it should still fall around 7-5/8-4. That would be really good for what is basically his first real season.
But it?s really all still a mystery I could see us dropping one OOC and one between Vandy/Kentucky/Arkansas/Ole Miss so 6-6 is still a floor for us. I think 8-4 is the ceiling.

You're right. I look at the schedule and see two for sure wins. But even if we lose some unexpectedly, State will find a Florida 04 on the schedule.
Here is what is real.... folks talking about new wrinkles. Got to do this or that. Leach is going to run the same plays he has run for 20 years. It is up to the QB to be on the money. The wrs to be consistent with their routes. Also the defense to play well.... as is always the case.
The offense was to inconsistent last year to look at the schedule and check off a bunch of Ws based on the past.

I hate predictions this early with this little information. I wouldn't bet for or against this team in any game next year at this point.
-
We improve some and go 6-6
Walk like the King or walk like you don't care who the King is
-
I will say 7-5. I think 5-7 is also possibly but also 9-3.
