Who throws Sunday - MacLeod or Bednar

Who's your choice to pitch vs. Texas on Sunday?

Texas has 6 righties, 2 lefties, and a switch guy. So my guess is Bednar. Plus they have not seen Bednar yet.

I think the better question is who goes Tuesday, bc Harding's numbers are better than Mac's. Prob will depend on the matchup, but would not surprise me at all if we go Harding if we play TN Tuesday.

This may sound a little crazy, but I would actually like to see Cade come in and pitch sometime. That kid throws strikes and it is straight gas.

Heck I'm beginning to trust Harding more than Bednar or Mac. He has 4 pitches and his change up is filthy which neutralizes right handers. I'd be tempted to start Harding but we'll probably go Bednar.

Totally agree about Harding. I wish we had a somewhat reliable 3rd starter so we could bring Hooty out of the pen...he could be such a Girodo for us in Omaha

I completely agree. Harding doesn't let things snowball out of control like the others seem to do. Harding is a dawg out there.

However, considering the game is Sunday and he just pitched Monday, I doubt they'd do it on 6 days rest. So it'll probably be Bednar.

Agree he could be big time weapon out of the pen in combo with sims. But we are fortunate in that we have 2 serviceable starters and Harding plus our deep pen. Most teams in the cws outside of Vandy(and after Rocker and Leitwr they have struggles too)have one ace and not so much after that. We have a big edge in pitching depth.

Yeah Harding seems to have a knack of getting out of trouble and Bednar has done ok but Mac seems to let things get out of hand. Harding has some big stones and I would be very comfortable with him starting a championship game.

Whoever gets the start, most likely Bednar, will have Harding in the wings ready to go.....hopefully we don't need him and the same scenario is in place for game 2

I saw Cade run down to warm up on Monday I believe. That was a surprise

Yeah I think Hootie allows us to have a really quick hook on any starter.

    It will probably be Bednar.

Now, he may go with MacLeoud because he pitched well against them earlier but I still think Bednar.

    Bednar almost assuredly pitches Sunday.

Harding is good because he is a "pitcher" not a thrower.

How's Fristoe doing? Mentally? - you seem to have some insight there
