    The SEC really should give the top four teams at least the option of sitting out the SEC Tournament.

    Unless you are a bubble team and steal a bid by winning it like we did in 2005 it has very little impact on the postseason resume.

    Teams either leave with a bad taste in their mouths or a decimated pitching staff.

    Todd, I don't understand this thinking! We should absolutely try our best to win every game. Going by your analysis, why even be in the SEC if we are not concerned with winning it? If national seeding is the only metric to shoot for, then we should be like the old Notre Dame - an independent!

    Since we are in the SEC we should try to win the regular season and the tournament!

    Just win baby!

    I believe the mindset is don't burn up your pitching just to win the SEC tournament.
