I was disappointed with effort today. Hopefully they can flush it and come out tomorrow with heads fully extracted from the anal cavity

If we don't start sims, he has to at least be the first guy out the pen

I don't think there's any way we start him tomorrow.

Notre Dame is a good hitting team. They knocked out our 2 best starting pitchers in both games. I think the only way we beat them is to start Sims and hope he has it going. I don't think any of the other pitchers on our staff can stop them.

    I agree, but I think it's a mistake

You can't walk batters and make errors. I know people don't like to hear it, but our coaching has to be better. And Lemonis isn't playing with many of his guys, so I'll give him that, but his teams have been bad on defense. Every last one has been bad. And a pitching coach who's entire starting staff struggles is worthless. They all have control issues (Bednar not as bad), and don't field well. They're all 2 pitch pitchers. All are talented. We limited innings all year for no damn reason (not talking Bianco innings). Notre Dame looks bith more talented and better coached except the pitching talent. Our pitching talent is great! Just poorly coached.

Harding's junk ball pitching might work 2 times thru their lineup.

Nobody is going more than a couple times through it without giving up runs. Doesn't matter who we throw..

Yeah I?m not sure how great Foxhall is even though I liked the hire. I don?t think he?s terrible but I?m not convinced he?s anything special either at this point.

Take Cerantola for instance. Some guys never harness good stuff. but we talked about it in the SEC tourney that his delivery has no rhythm which makes consistency hard. And it?s not like it?s his first year to coach him.

Our SPs at least lately don?t really attack the zone the way most sec top flight guys do. I know why had a ton of Ks this year so we are doing something right but we haven?t had a great SP performance in a while now

You don't have to have go thru the lineup twice scoreless to be successful

If things go ok, it's Harding, Stinnett, Johnson, Sims.
Things go great, it's Harding, Johnson, Sims.
Things go bad, it's Harding Sims, Stinnett, Johnson.
Things go off the rails, it's Harding, Sims, Fristoe, & Cerentola...lol

Personally I would start sims, but we won't, so I'd go Harding. I thought ND struggled some tonight on Mac's offspeed. Harding might give them some trouble. Then follow him with sims. That change in velocity would be tough

Agree. We won't do it, but I would love to start Sims for 3, Harding for 4-5, Stinnett for 1-2 with Stone Simmons ready to go if anything doesn't work as planned. No one else would toe the rubber for me.

Just do not have a good feeling about tomorrow. Just seems every time we make mistakes we allow it to turn into a 3 run bomb. We have to March power for power against them and we cannot do it consistently. Saturday?s win was helped out with their errors

    Stinnett over Stone? Why?

He's better IMO. Stone could get innings too if we have to burn up Sims early.
