    Irresponsible Pitch counts

Do we see some of these douche coaches look like fools in the next 2-3 weeks after riding their pitchers too hard and we see those guys weaken down the stretch.

I doubt it. You're not going to generally be able to tell who is fatigued and who is just doing worse because of a better competition and a bigger spotlight. Even if somebody is losing velocity, I believe Leiter lost some velocity before taking a week off, and has been fine since?

Well, if Kopp all of the sudden looks hittable then you know he is wearing down. I like the fact that Arkansas has several more games to use him up before we would see them.

I could see Nikhazy pitch every game for UM this weekend.

Pitchers have thrown high counts since the beginning of time. This self-righteous BS that we're one of the few teams doing it right is laughable. We ran our counts up to the 120s last week. If Sims was needed twice, it would've happened. Regular season is one thing. Post season you go til your arm won't.

I think it is smart we are making it a point of emphasis though especially with recruiting. For the most part we have been very smart and cautious with our guys and if you can manage that through the regular season to have them 100% for post season why tf not?

It also says to recruits that if you sign with us and bust your ass you are going to pitch. We wont use the same 2/3 guys all weekend

Bunko is between a rock and a hard-on with his staff having to play the extra game in the Regional on Monday and now having to go on Friday. Booger pitched Saturday throwing 119 pitches and then came back in relief on Monday (which is terrible mismanagement. No way my kid comes back 36 hours after throwing 119 pitches). He almost has to pitch him Saturday- which puts them at a disadvantage in the Friday game. His Friday guy also pitched Monday. Curious to see how he plays it.

That being said- you play to win at this point. You dont do ridiculous things but you have to have your best out there now. Plus, some guys bounce back quicker than others. By now, coaches have a good idea of what they have and can do.
