How do we matchup with Notre Dame?

Assuming we win and ND wins, how do we matchup? Most feel they should have been a National Seed, and they are dominating their Regional, but the ACC has been far from stellar so far this postseason. Should we be worried, does anyone know much about them?

They've got bats and a good record.

However, they lack pitching depth from not playing mid weeks, they haven't played any one seeds, and they only played a series at one tournament team.

The Dude will be a weapon and every pitcher we chase will hurt them a lot.

Assuming we win the regional, will the Starkville Super be a Fri-Sun or Sat-Mon format?

We'll have to play well. They are a good team; as good as a 4-6 SEC team on any given night and we've lost to those teams so. Heck even worst SEC beat us at home so we just have to stay focused and do what we can do and we win. Mac and Bednar on their game and rest do what they do and we win.

    Interesting Link:

    https://theacc.com/stats.aspx?path=baseball&year=2021

    A few points:
    (1) Georgia Tech hung in with Vandy. Lost 3-4 at Vandy
    (2) Free Shoes University should have beaten OM. lost 3-4 on a two Run error
    (3) Miami is hanging on for dear life as a #2 in Gainsville, but just Eliminated by USA
    (4) UVA only lost by a run to S Carolina and just eliminated SC
    (5) NCSU is 2-0 at a regional somewhere
    (6) UNC lost to TTU but TTU is a good team
    (7) Duke sucked

I think ND is probably excellent and if Louisville had the same 25-10 ACC record, Louisville would be a top-5 national seed

I would treat them like we would Louisville and hopefully McDonnell will give Lemonis good scout notes

The HR ball does make me nervous. If they have any on, it can turn a game.

Notre Dame is damn good. But they haven’t been tested like we have with the level of competition we have played.

I would just walk his 250 lb butt. No reason to test any SEC / ACC theories

He is not Nick Madrigal that would steal 2 bases and make your pitcher crazy

They're already up 6-1 vs CMU. They are absolutely beating the breaks off of their Regional opponents.

ND beating the brakes off Michigan, UConn, and Central Michigan is really not that impressive

What Dallas Baptist and USA are doing is way more impressive

Game-1 in Omaha for the Dog could very well be So Alabama vs Mississippi State

Does that say more about them or their regional opponents?

Outscoring your opponents the way they have, seems strong no matter who you're playing. But point taken

You also have to disregard any runs past about a 6-8 run lead until the final game. These guys are having to sacrifice their own to save pitching.

They're a solid team. One stud hitter and nothing special pitching wise. Their field is a launching pad on warmer sunny days (all turf).
